A man who stabbed his mate at the Stawell Park Caravan Park has been sentenced to eight years and six months in jail.
Benjamin James Wilson, 39, had been drinking when he stabbed Travis Haub four times in Mr Haub's unit in western Victoria on October 17, 2020.
The court heard Wilson believed Mr Haub was having an affair with Wilson's pregnant partner.
Mr Haub later underwent life-saving surgery in a Melbourne hospital.
In the Melbourne County Court yesterday, Chief Judge Peter Kidd noted Wilson, who pleaded guilty to intentionally causing serious injury, expressed genuine remorse and a desire to turn his life around.
