Melbourne restaurant apologises for refusing former soldier in wheelchair

 The owners of a restaurant that refused a booking to a Melbourne man who requires a wheelchair have issued an apology.

Ginger Garlic today issued a statement to its Facebook page apologising for causing offence to war veteran Joel Sardi.

"As owners of Ginger Garlic, we are both deeply saddened to see Joel's video and that we have caused hurt," the post reads.

"We have now reached out to Joel and apologised."
